I think I've been clear about my DeepSeek uncertainty. Everyone says it's the most effective and cheaply skilled AI ever (everyone except Alibaba), but I don't know if that holds true. But I do not believe they reveal how these models were trained. In either case, I do not have evidence that DeepSeek trained its designs on OpenAI or anybody else's big language models - or at least I didn't till today.
